Congratulations to Aiden Melna, who has signed to play baseball at Hinds Community College next year! Aiden is the son of Dena and Jimmy Melna, is a senior at St. Frederick High School, where he has been a student for six years.
Aiden has been a dedicated member of the Warrior varsity football team for four years, playing as a linebacker. This year, he was named 1st Team All-District Defense. In 2022, he earned All-District and All-Parish honors.
In baseball, Aiden has also achieved significant recognition. In 2024, he received the Louisiana Baseball Coaches Association All-Region Award and was named an All-State Honorable Mention by the Louisiana Sports Writers Association. That same year, he was selected for the Louisiana Baseball Coaches Association Junior Underclass State Games and received an Aaron’s Ace Award. He has been an All-District baseball player in 2022, 2023, and 2024.
Outside of athletics, Aiden is an Honor Student and an active member of Dunn Baptist Church. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with friends, playing golf, and duck hunting.
After graduation, Aiden plans to attend Hinds Community College in Mississippi, where he will continue his baseball career. We are proud of you, Aiden! Go, Eagles! And Go, Warriors!
